KIEV. March 24. UNN. Workers of the Metropolitan of Kharkiv reported about suspicion in infringement of safety rules of traffic. It is reported by UNN with reference to the division of communications of the police in Kharkiv region.
“On January 18 at the police Department in the subway received a message from the senior train dispatcher. The employee told me that when leaving the platform of the metro station “Central market” the train driver applied the emergency brake. These actions were committed in order to prevent hitting the man, who was in the tunnel between subway stations. in the result of emergency stopping the victim was taken to the Kharkiv city clinical hospital of emergency medical aid in unconscious critical condition. The next day he died, without regaining consciousness,” — said in the message.
It turned out that January 18, the victim came down from the platform of the metro station “Central market” on the rails and headed into the tunnel towards the metro station “South station”. Worked device control in a tunnel. As a result, in the tunnel the lights worked and audible alarm in the operator’s room at the station “Central market”.
“Contrary to the requirements of job description, 37-year-old employee of metro has taken the necessary actions, including the arrest of the offender. Instead, the woman turned off the working lights alarm of the tunnel and brought the device access control in a tunnel in working condition,” — noted in police.
The investigative branch of the police Department in the metro opened criminal proceedings under part 3 of article 276 (violation of safety rules that caused death of people) the Criminal code of Ukraine. The punishment for this crime provides imprisonment for the term from 5 to 10 years.
The woman reported about suspicion in Commission of a criminal offence on March 23.
