Consumers of marijuana is 20% more sex – study
Uncategorized October 27, 2017Marijuana users have 20% more sex than abstaining. This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted by the School of medicine at Stanford University and published in the Journal of sexual medicine, reports Reuters.
Researchers from California came to its conclusion after a retrospective analysis of data on 50 000 Americans aged 25 to 45 years old, collected from 2002 to 2015. The survey was conducted by the Federal centers for control and prevention of diseases.
Respondents were asked how much they had heterosexual intercourse in the last four weeks, and how often they had smoked marijuana in the past 12 months, according to researchers from Stanford, in a press release.
Women who daily had used marijuana, had sex an average of 7.1 times during the previous four weeks, compared with 6.0 times of those who denied drug use. For men the figures are: 6.9 times – smokes marijuana, 5,6 – do not use.
“In other words, marijuana users are 20% more sex than abstaining,” said senior author Dr. Michael Eisenberg, assistant Professor of urology at Stanford.
It used to be that couples mainly smoke after sex, but Eisenberg said that his results show the opposite.
The scientist warned that the study should not be misinterpreted as evidence of causation. “This does not mean that if you smoke more marijuana, you will have more sex,” he said.
Recall that in Denver, USA, April 20 opened the international Church of cannabis.
