The government approved the transfer of control of the Kharkiv regional state administration (RSA) stadium of football club “Metalist”, which were previously included in business structure owned by the fugitive oligarch Sergei Kurchenko, and by the court was returned to the state.
About it at session of the government on Wednesday said Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman, reports UNIAN.

“We are talking about the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the transfer of the management of the Kharkiv regional administration of the stadium of football club “Metallist”, which was actually stolen from the state and the efforts of the General Prosecutor’s office and personally Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko returned to the state property and, accordingly, the regional administration will use this stadium,” – said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister also thanked the Minister of justice Pavel Petrenko, who was accompanied by the transfer process of the stadium and noted that the Kharkiv administration must manage the stadium, given the demands of the fans.
Note, in October last year, the Kharkiv court decision on special confiscation of property rights of football club “Metalist”, which belonged to the oligarch Sergey Kurchenko, close to the entourage of former President Viktor Yanukovych.
In September 2015, it was reported that the Kharkiv businessman Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, is planning to return to their property of FC “Metalist”.
