Case 2 may in Odessa: the sentence the accused will stand until September 15

Sentence accused on the case about mass riots on may 2, 2014 in the center of Odessa will be delivered before September 15 of the current year. On Tuesday, September 5, at the meeting of the Ilyichevsky city court handling the production, after the completion of the pleadings process, said a judicial panel, reports UNIAN.

After hearing the last word of the accused, the panel of judges retired to the deliberation room to reach a verdict.

This case was tried in the courts for about three years. We are talking only about the episodes that took place in the center of Odessa on 2 may 2014; materials about the events on the Kulikovo field in the court has not yet been received.

In court, the lawyers said about the alleged lack of evidence of the guilt of their clients and insisted on acquittal. The accused pleaded not guilty.

May 2, 2014 in Odessa, during the riots killed 48 people, 247 suffered. Clashes in the centre of the city was towards evening between participants of Pro-Ukrainian rally, the fans of FC “Chernomorets” and “Metalist”, on the one hand, and supporters of the Pro-Maidan.

Several participants Pro-Ukrainian rally were killed by the bullets of supporters of Antimiani. Later a few dozen people from the Pro-Russian demonstrators died from suffocation or injuries due to a fire in Odessa House of trade unions.
