The annual contest “Best photos of nature – LUMIX People’s Choice” people’s award following the results of universal suffrage received a 25-year-old British photographer Sam Rowley in the battle of two mice in a city subway.

Fans of the annual competition were asked to vote for the best pictures that have not received the main jury prize in October 2019. And the mouse who started a fight over a piece of food, dropped by some passenger, took a confident first place.

As told to Sam Rowley, all the inhabitants of the British capital and visitors know like many in metro little black mice, and then darting across the platform and tracks. He was so fascinated by these creatures that spent nearly a week under the ground, trying to get a good picture.

And one night he got lucky… Two mice “clashed” in a duel on the platform. Their battle lasted for about a second, then one of them grabbed the baby, and they fled in different directions. But the time of the fight lying on the platform of Rowley still managed to capture.

That picture was voted for by 28 thousand people, choosing the contenders for the award in the nomination “the Best photo of wildlife” declared by the London natural history Museum. And now the “Disassembly on the platform” along with 24 photos-winners will be presented at the Museum on the exhibition, which runs until may 31.

On the Museum’s website reported that the winning image was shot on a Nikon D500 with a 105 mm lens; shutter speed – 1/125 sec. aperture f2,8, ISO 1000.
