This is stated in the report by the Wall Street Journal, writes The Verge.

The reason for this decision was the supposed agreement with Samsung for the purchase of a certain quantity of OLED screens, which are equipped with only an iPhone X to XS and XS Max. Since models XS, and XS Max sold worse than expected, the company decided to resume production of last year’s model.

The news comes amid reports that Apple has reduced production orders for all three of its new iPhone models due to lower than expected demand.

Most in the market place struggling the cheapest new iPhone XR. It is reported that instead customers choose from iPhone 8, the price of which fell after the presentation of new products.

As UNIAN reported earlier, after the release of this year’s iPhone X and XS Max, Apple announced that it would stop production of the iPhone X.
