The canadian aircraft company, Opener Inc. presented personal vehicle called BlackFly. This is a single plane with function of vertical takeoff and landing, which has an electric powerplant. It is so simple and compact that management is not required to obtain a pilot’s license.

BlackFly is a capsule with two hard wings-consoles, on which there are eight electric motors with propellers with replaceable thrust vector. According to its characteristics it is closer to more commercial multicopters, but because civil aviation has a symbolic relationship.

However, this did not prevent the creators of the BlackFly to do a triple redundancy of all nodes, add the safety of a ballistic parachute and carry the capsule the pilot in the form of sealed boats, in case of a splashdown instead of a landing. The maximum flight speed of 100 km/h, a cruising range on one charge batteries up to 40 km, and recharge will take about half an hour. Maneuverability leaves much to be desired, but on the dashboard there is a button for automatic return to point of departure.

In the current version of BlackFly flies nice, but for commercial use is not ready yet, so the price and terms of issue to speak of. As they say its authors, in priority to flight safety, and although it conducted over a thousand test runs, and testing is continuing. No pilot license is not a hindrance, but you still have to pass an exam on the ability to drive such a machine in the air.
