Zelensky: in the fire in Odessa one dead, 14 missing and 27 were hospitalized
KIEV. 5 Dec. UNN. The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said the latest information on the number of missing and the condition of the victims in the fire at the College in Odessa. According to him, as of 6:00 today in Odessa student 1 dead, 14 missing (among them 5 students), 27 people in hospitals. About this he wrote on his page in Facebook, reports UNN.
“In a terrible fire in Odessa we have already lost 16-year-old student Xenia Babenko. The whole country sympathizes with her parents. We will not leave you alone with your grief. We all hope that with 14 missing as many are safe and sound. But I want to deceive anyone – victims may be more. We all wish a speedy recovery to the injured. 21 people now in hospital in a condition of average weight. And we all pray for the lives of 5 people whose condition is heavy. Know what doctors are doing to save everything possible. And it is impossible also” – indicates Zelensky.
He also noted, “without exaggeration, the heroic struggle of our firefighters and rescuers”. “7 of them are now in hospital beds,” added the President.
“I beg the public, and journalists to operate only with the correct numbers. So, as of 6:00 in Odessa student 1 dead, 14 missing (among them 5 students), and 27 people to hospitals, according to the injury and necessary assistance”, – said the Head of state.
“I instruct the Chairman of the Odessa regional state administration and the local authorities to do everything to help the victims and their families and to quickly figure out all the circumstances that led to this tragedy. But we need not look extreme, but more to prevent such horror in any city in the country”, – said the President.
