“We’re one step closer to the truth” – the Ukrainian leader of the investigation into MH17

KIEV. June 11. UNN. In the court hearings about the Downing of MH17 adjourned to June 22, but already in June the first stage of the process showed that “we are closer to the moment when the world learns the truth.” This was stated by the Deputy Prosecutor General, the head of the Joint investigation team (JIT) from Ukraine Gunduz Mammadov, reports UNN with reference to Radio Liberty.

“Over the past few days the world has learned a lot of details on the investigation regarding the shooting down of MH17. Prosecutors presented a chronology of events and evidence of research of the wreckage, bodies and belongings to the analysis of intercepted telecommunications and the establishment of witnesses of the events. Once again it was stated about the manipulation of Russian Federation in order to introduce the result of confusion, because the alternative versions provided by the Russian side were confirmed,” – said the representative of Ukraine.

“This trial demonstrates the solidity of a General investigation team of the investigation, the insignificance of the versions of the Russian Federation and the intention of the defense to delay the trial … But the work JIT does not end at the national level we also continue to collect evidence of the involvement of all those responsible for the tragedy – both those who gave the command, and those who performed,” added Gunduz Mammadov.

Earlier, Moscow offered to take on the trial of Russian citizens, which an international investigation considers involved in the crash “Boeing” flight MH17 “Malaysian airlines” in the sky above the Donbass July 17, 2014.

The accused wanted to be judged under the article for murder under criminal law. This means that Russia does not recognize them parties to an armed conflict on their part. This was stated by the prosecution in the court hearing in the Netherlands.

Attorney ward Ferdinandusse noted that the investigation had collected evidence of the direct participation of Russia in armed conflict in the East of Ukraine.
