The U.S. state Department intends to Finance the development of innovation and entrepreneurship in Ukraine. This is stated in the document, seen by the RT.

Responsible for the implementation of the initiatives is the diplomatic mission of the United States in Ukraine.
“The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to conduct a program promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in Ukraine through education of owners of local startups sustainable methods of financing for business enterprises”, — specified in the grant description.
So, the contractor will develop training programs pre-selected group of Ukrainian businessmen.
It is expected that invited to participate in a program of American and Ukrainian speakers will tell the audience about the peculiarities of the presentation of the business ideas about the mechanisms of financing commercial enterprises as well as the best practices and models of such financing (crowdfunding, donations, work with investors, loans).
The document stresses that particular attention in the framework of the initiative, the contractor shall be paid to the strengthening of relations between Americans and Ukrainians.
“Applicants should pay particular attention to development of relations between Americans and Ukrainians via this programme… It should be the visible expression of the cooperation between the US and Ukraine and to help deepen ties between the two States in the business sector,” States the document.
As said in the state Department, the target audience of the program are the owners of start-UPS in age from 25 to 30 years from East, South and South-East of Ukraine, as the priority sectors — agriculture, healthcare, technology, restaurant business. Only grant is $50 thousand.
Earlier it was reported about the plans of the U.S. Agency for international development (USAID) to allocate $10 million for “development of innovative economy of Belarus”.
