U.S. believe that Russia is responsible for the attack on two people in the United Kingdom, using the nerve agents. About this at an emergency meeting of the UN security Council said the U.S. permanent representative Nikki Haley.
During the speech, she also recalled that “Russia is five times used his position in the security Council, to protect from punishment of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who used chemical weapons against its own citizens”.
Russia denies the charges, except “I do not understand why the representatives of the United Kingdom draw this issue to the security Council (the security Council – ed.)”. He also said that Russia allegedly sent a request for a joint investigation, but was refused.
The representative of great Britain Jonathan Allen at the meeting said that Russia offered to give explanations concerning the poisoning Skripal, but she refused to do it. So the British concluded that the Russian state was involved and took appropriate action in response.
