US ready to strengthen sanctions against Russia – assistant TillersonUncategorized November 15, 2017
The assistant Secretary Rex Tillerson for Europe and Eurasia Wess Mitchell said about the readiness of the United States to tighten sanctions against Russia. He stated this during a meeting with President Petro Poroshenko, the press service of the head of state.
Mitchell confirmed the readiness to continue supporting Ukraine’s efforts to restore sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country and, if necessary, to “toughen price for Moscow” for continued aggression against the Ukrainian state.
During the meeting Poroshenko and Mitchell stressed the importance of new approaches to filling the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States – from enhanced political, economic and energy cooperation, to strengthen between the parties of partnership in the sphere of defense and security.
