Upon the death of the prisoner in the Odessa jail, the Prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings

ODESSA-KIEV. July 20. UNN. Today the Prosecutor’s office of Odessa region in connection with the incident, which occurred in the Odessa prison, the criminal proceedings under part 2 St. 367 criminal code of Ukraine “Office negligence which has entailed heavy consequences”. About it the correspondent of UNN reported in the press service of the Prosecutor’s office in Odessa region.

“As part of the investigation the investigators will check the legality of execution of official duties by employees of specified institutions”, – stated in the message.

Wednesday, July 19, in the chamber of the detention facility found the body of 40-year-old prisoner with signs of violent death. Pre-judicial investigation proceeds.
