“Ukrsotsbank” have declared disagreement with nominated by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) accusations of conducting risky activities, and therefore intends to appeal against in court the regulator’s decision to impose a fine in the amount of 30,45 million.

In particular, according to the report “Ukrsotsbank”, all of these cases, the NBU risky operations have been identified by the Bank itself even before the verification of the regulator, and in most of them the Bank refused service.

“Due to the fact that the national Bank of Ukraine during the decision (to impose a fine in the amount of 30,45 million UAH for the issuance of more than 1 billion UAH of cash without proper verification of customers’ operations – the UNIAN) the results of the inspection did not take into account the explanations and objections, the Bank will challenge the regulator’s decision in the courts,” – said the press service.

It is also reported that in the period from 14 February to 8 may this year, the national Bank conducted a planned inspection of “Ukrsotsbank” on certain issues of financial monitoring and currency legislation during the period of 2015 to 2017, of which the period to October 2016, have to control the previous shareholder, international banking group UniCredit Group.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the national Bank of Ukraine on the results of inspections on issues of financial monitoring in November of this year fined “Ukrsotsbank” 30.45 million hryvnias for carrying out financial transactions of cash funds in the amount of more than 1 billion UAH on the basis of documentation with signs of fictitiousness or even without any supporting documents from client accounts.

In January of 2016 holding company ABH Holdings S. A., which owns “Alfa-Bank” signed an agreement with Italian banking group UniCredit Group on the purchase of 99,9% of actions “Ukrsotsbank” and in the end of October 2016, the parties announced the completion of the transaction.
