“From December 12, 2017 Ukrzaliznytsia temporarily suspends the service of a return ticket over the Internet. According to numerous requests of passengers the decision was made to avoid the creation of artificial shortages and speculation of further travel documents on trains”, – stated in the message.
As noted, the analysis showed that tickets for winter holidays massively and systematically purchased for resale – the majority of tickets redeemed in the first minutes of opening sales and at the same time there is a tendency to return a significant proportion of them at night. This creates an artificial shortage of tickets.
In this regard, a temporary refund for the boarding documents via the Internet, will be made only through train tickets. The restrictions will be lifted after the new year and Christmas traffic.
Recall that the new year holidays, Ukrzaliznytsia will appoint a further 19 trains.
