DTEK Neftegaz, intends to start gas production from a depth of 7 kilometers.

“Our goal is the transition to the new deep horizons of more than 7 thousand meters, where nobody produces gas in Ukraine”, — said during his speech at the Ukrainian Energy Forum-2019 in Kiev the General Director of DTEK Neftegaz Igor schurov.

According to him, over the past year significantly stabilized regulatory environment and fiscal policy of the state in relation to gas companies, it is necessary to make a priority the identification of opportunities to increase the volume of production.

“For 4 years our company has increased gas production more than 3 times from 500 million cubic meters to 1.6 billion cubic meters of gas. We believe that this effect can be scaled to the entire industry,” said Shchurov.

The expert noted that there are three key drivers of change: systems investment, technology and effective work with the current Fund companies all forms of ownership. To achieve this, DTEK Neftegaz last year, the first in the Ukrainian gas sector was established on the basis of the company’s Technology center, aimed at systematic search, adaptation and implementation of innovative technologies.

“The technological progress of the industry to become one of the key factors in achieving energy independence of Ukraine”, — said Igor schurov.
