KIEV. 15 Aug. UNN. For all the time of a pandemic of Ukraine twice increased its capacity to combat COVID-19. This applies to beds in hospitals, and medical equipment: devices IVL and summing up of oxygen. This was during the briefing said the Minister of health, Maxim Stepanov, the correspondent of UNN.

“Yesterday I held a teleconference with heads of departments of health in all areas, managers work to overcome COVID-19. We said first of all that the system is ready to provide medical aid. It was about providing the necessary equipment. The number of ventilators we have increased by almost a thousand over this period. Talking about rehabilitation beds, particularly in hospitals of the second wave. We are now deployed throughout the country, will be the willingness of 230 patients. In some areas we have started to add them already. All the hospitals we have 1700 of the ventilator, we are increasing the amount of supplied oxygen,” – said Stepanov.

He noted that the supply of oxygen full-time important, because a large number of patients require oxygen therapy.

“We are for all the time of a pandemic has increased the power in half, and now we will continue to increase”, – concluded the head of Ministry of health.

Recall that in Ukraine for a month has rapidly increased the number hospitalized with COVID-19.
