KIEV. 25 Feb. UNN. Ukraine became a full member of the International Agency for renewable energy (IRENA). This is stated in the official document published in the German foreign Ministry, reports UNN.

For Ukraine accession to IRENA means to enter the international arena players in the renewable energy market. It will definitely improve the investment image of the state, opportunities of bringing the best global practices and technologies, and most importantly — the “green” investments, the report said the government portal.

It is noted that the IRENA report on renewable energy development in Ukraine will be one of the key factors for investors when deciding the implementation of projects in this area.

In addition, Ukraine will be the official participant of the annual meetings of the IRENA Assembly, where legislators and entrepreneurs in more than 150 countries of the world determine the course of further actions and decisions to reduce the energy dependence and the development of clean energy.

We will remind, according to acting Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on fuel and energy complex, nuclear policy and nuclear safety Oleksandr Dombrovskyi, Ukraine has fulfilled all its obligations for full membership in the International Agency for renewable energy (IRENA).
