Ukraine and China signed a Memorandum on construction of concrete road Odessa-Nikolaev

In the presence of Deputy Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Viktor Dovgan a Memorandum on the construction of concrete road in the direction Odessa-Nikolaev signed by the acting Chairman of the State Agency of Ukraine roads “Ukravtodor” Slawomir Nowak and representatives of the Chinese state Corporation China Road and Bridge Corporation. About it reported in a press-service of the Ministry of infrastructure, reports UNN.
The parties agreed for 2017 to begin preparation of the project, which includes reconstruction of roads of national importance M-14 Odesa – Melitopol – Novoazovsk on the station Odessa – Nikolaev – Kherson, and will be implemented in two stages. The first phase – major repair of sections of the 1st category, the second stage of the reconstruction of sections of the 2nd category. “As transport is a strategic road. It is important that through this way we can quickly redirect the load, which will go from the ports of the Baltic States and the EU, the port of Nikolaev”, – said Vladimir Dovgan. S. Novak during the talks noted that it would be a logical continuation of the international project of the Gdansk-Odessa. For projects in Ukraine CRBC, there are two subsidized loans – a loan to the Chinese government, export and consumer credit. During the training there will also be meetings between the two sides for the purpose of technical exchange and experience exchange in the field of road construction and visit construction sites in China. “Ukravtodor” in turn, intends to facilitate the process of obtaining state guarantees of the Ukrainian Government to use Chinese loans to Finance the project. In addition to the above, the project opens up prospects for related industries.
“90 km of concrete road is quite a strong incentive and a promising project for the construction industry. So this is very good news not only for us but for our cement industry and producers,” – said Vladimir Dovgan.
