Figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze said that the winner of the world championship in Saitama Alina Sagitova could withdraw a few days before the start.

“It’s hard mentally I was preparing. We all wanted to withdraw, but did not. The decision was made together with Alina and the Federation. Decided that all still going and fighting,” said Tutberidze in an interview with channel one.
Alina Sagitova won the gold medal at the world Cup 2019 in Japan Saitama.
Earlier, double Olympic champion in figure skating Maxim Trankov praised the new generation of skaters after the victory in the medal standings of the world Cup.
