In the framework of the Humorina, a festival of clowns and mimes “Komediada”
Odessa citizens and guests of the city April 1 to celebrate Humorina. The first truly warm weather this year, and Saturday contributed to the fact that in the center of Odessa was flooded interested to note on 1 April. The city also has a lot of visitors. About it reports Interfax-Ukraine.
The official part of the event began with a carnival on Deribasovskaya street and a number of Central streets of the city, which was attended by clowns, mimes, people on stilts, people dressed as movie characters, including Darth Vader with a retinue of bikers and a few europlatform installations.
The procession started an hour late, and then events in different locations also began later than planned.
In the framework of the Humorina in Odessa, also a festival of clowns and mimes “Komediada”. He started on March 31. To participate in the festival in Odessa came clowns and MIME artists from 15 countries, including one of the best clowns in the world, the Spanish comedian Leo Bassi. 1 and 2 April in the House of clowns will take place gala concert of the best participants of “Comedity”.
In the framework of the Humorina, the city hosts fairs, food festival, “Odessa eurolysine”, and is expected in the evening a gala-concert with participation of group “Time and Glass”, “Mushrooms” and “lapis-98”.

Recall that in 2017, the organizing Committee Humorina for the first time in a long time, decided to change the format of the festival and its symbol. Instead of smiling sailor with life preserver, designed in 1972, the organizing Committee proposed a new symbol – a duck “-Duck” (Duck Taki), which is a reference to Odessa’s expression “did so.”
The first April fool’s day was held in Odessa in 1972, when the Odessa KVN team after the close of the same transmission invented Odessa Humorina festival of laughter.
The word “humor” the first said Oleg Stashkevich, and the logo of the festival – “sailor” suggested Arkady Zikun.
In 1976, the humor was banned. The celebration was revived only after 10 years.
Since the early 2000s, the holiday turned into a city-wide festivities with performances of street theatres, numerous exhibitions, a carnival procession. Since 2009 the tradition to declare this a city-wide day off.
In 2014 the Odessa city Council because of the events in the country for the first time in many years abandoned the official celebration of Humorina. Modest was the festival in 2015.
