The construction of giant stadiums for the world Cup costs billions of dollars, with many of them after the event be without “work”. With this in mind, host the world Cup 2022 — Qatar presented the draft of a modular stadium, which will solve this problem in an unusual way: after the world Cup, it can be disassembled and transported to another location and collect again, but perhaps in a different configuration.

The stadium project Ras Abu Aboud was developed in the design Studio Fenwick Iribaren Architets (Spain). The construction is unique primarily because of its structure is composed of shipping containers, where it will be kept all the property of the stadium after its dismantling in the case of moving to another place.

Stadium-transformer may be recreated in several versions — in the original, as well as smaller sports facilities or cultural centres. The stadium is designed for 40,000 spectators and will be ready by 2020. The organizers of the 2022 world Cup hope that the concept of the stadium Ras Abu Aboud will be further developed as the design of sports facilities of the future.
