New Consul General of the USA in Ukraine became Kimberly A. MacDonald, who was succeeded by William Bistransky in connection with the completion of his mission. This was announced by the Department of consular service of the foreign Ministry in Facebook.
“On July 19, the Director of the consular service Department Serhiy Pogoreltsev received General Consul of the USA in Ukraine William Bistransky in connection with the completion of his mission in Ukraine and the newly appointed Consul General of the USA in Ukraine Kimberly A. McDonald” – referred to in the message.
Fire victims thanked Bistransky for the high level of bilateral cooperation in the consular sector.
The sides discussed wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere, in particular on migration and visa issues.
Earlier it was reportedthat U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson has appointed former U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Kurt Volker as special envoy in Ukraine, which will coordinate the efforts of the Department of state on conflict settlement in the Donbass.
