The Prosecutor’s office began to investigate the facts of beating in the detention center of the Odessa

Investigators of Prosecutor’s office of Odessa region began an investigation of facts of ill-treatment held in Odessa prison. About it reports a press-service of the regional Prosecutor’s office.

The Prosecutor recalled that on Saturday, August 19, employees of the Prosecutor’s office together with a representative of the Parliament Commissioner for human rights in the Odessa region revealed the facts of ill-treatment held in jail.

The results of the check under investigation in criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 365 of the criminal code of Ukraine (abuse of power or office powers which was accompanied by violence, acts which offend the personal pride of the victim).
