The Prosecutor extorted money in drug case – NABOO
KIEV. 4 Jan. UNN. Employee of the General Prosecutor’s office extorted 20 thousand dollars for a suspended sentence two suspects in the drug case. It is reported by UNN citing the press service of the National anti-corruption Bureau.
The detectives NAB has established that the public Prosecutor of Department of supervision of observance of laws in criminal proceedings and coordination of law enforcement activities of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine demanded 20 thousand dollars per an agreement with two individuals suspected of violating part 2 of article 307 of the criminal code (Illegal production, production, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sales of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues).
According to the agreement, the suspects are exempt from punishment with a trial period and in case of failure to receive at 11-12 years of imprisonment.
“Agreement”, 20 thousand dollars was to be paid in two instalments: a Deposit of 15 thousand and 5 thousand before submission to the court agreement on recognition of guilt.

Earlier UNN reported that the National anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine has completed the investigation into the theft of funds allocated by the EU for internally displaced persons.
