The police called the cause of the detention of the former head of Odessa police
KIEV. July 25. UNN. During the operation of the Department of homeland security and the National police of Ukraine, the Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office and the participation of the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine detained the former chief of police of Odessa region on suspicion in theft in especially large sizes. It is reported on its website the Department of communication of the National police of Ukraine, reports UNN.
It is noted that the former police chief in Odessa is accused of involvement in the criminal offense provided by part 5 of article 191 of the Criminal code of Ukraine. This article provides for the responsibility for the assignment, waste of property or taking to them by abuse of official position.
Earlier the source of UNN reported that the former chief of the main Directorate of Ukraine in Odessa region Dmitry Golovin was arrested as part of an investigation about the smuggling of cigarettes through the Odessa port.
