As of Thursday morning 5,600 people from 16 prefectures located around Okayama and Hiroshima, are in evacuation centers.

Currently, the group emergency response of the Consulate General of China in Osaka has been coordinating the assistance, evacuating Chinese citizens from the disaster area and taking other similar measures.

Powerful showers began in Japan in the middle of last week due to the influence of Typhoon “Prapiroon”. In some areas of the country in a few days received more than 1000 mm of rainfall that led to river flooding and frequent landslides.

The instructions to evacuate received more than 5.9 million people in 19 prefectures of the country.
