Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko, who was killed in Kiev in the evening on may 29, was shot, probably from a Makarov pistol.
It is reported by UNN citing a source in the police.
“The murder was discovered three empty shells of caliber 9 mm Makarov – told the police.

Also, the police confirmed that the killer shot Babchenko three times and all three times – in the back of the journalist.

The people’s Deputy Anton Geraschenko admitted that the murder Babchenko may be involved in the Russian special services.
Babchenko participated in both Chechen wars. After retirement in 2000 he took up journalism. He worked as a war correspondent of “Moskovsky Komsomolets”, wrote for “Novaya Gazeta” and other publications. The journalist covered the military conflicts in South Ossetia and Eastern Ukraine.
In March 2012 in Russia vozbuditeli against him a criminal case on incitement to riot for the post about the rally for free elections.
In February 2017 Babchenko said that in connection with repeatedly received threats in his address and his family decided to leave Russia.
He lived first in Prague, then in Israel, and in August 2017 was moved to Kiev.
