The morning of may 2 MPs Yuriy Boyko, Vadim Novinsky, Mykola Skoryk, representatives of Odessa oppositionists, the relatives of those killed on 2 may, including the wife of the Deputy of the Odessa regional Council Vyacheslav Markin, as well as the mother of the dead, neon and Berezovskaya Alena Brygar. Vadim Novinsky at the Holy Dormition monastery in Odessa took part in a memorial service in memory of the victims of the Odessa tragedy. Funeral conducted the divine service his Eminence Agafangel, Metropolitan of Odessa and Izmail. The funeral was attended by almost all the Orthodox clergy of the city.

In addition, members visited the graves of those killed on may 2 in the House of trade Unions. “We wanted to pay tribute to the victims and not to disturb the fragile peace in Odessa. It was impossible to prevent new clashes and provocations. The wound inflicted Odessa healed and sore,” upon returning to Kyiv, said the politician.

“This is the third year on may 2, all of Odessa mourn. Three years ago tragedy — in flames of the fire killed 42 people, 6 people were killed in clashes on city streets. Early in the morning people went to the Kulikovo field and carrying flowers to the entrance of the House of trade Unions to the improvised memorial. We also arrived to Odessa to pay tribute to the victims”, — wrote on his page in Facebook Vadim Novinsky.

“Against us authorities were preparing provocations against us were brought to the city the bandits were waiting for us at airports and on highways. Today on trumped-up reason our MPs summoned for questioning by law enforcement agencies. We were hounded in the media. The safety and tranquility of the city was of little interest to the authorities, the main thing was to suppress, to stifle any opposition actions. All in vain. After all, we remember the tragedy of may 2, 365 days a year, we keep in touch with relatives of the victims and together they try to overcome the consequences of the incident. Today we arrived in the city with the world. Peace and overcoming the schism in Ukraine were and remain our primary goals,” said the Deputy.

Novinsky is convinced that three years ago people died of “the evil will very specific persons, and those who were performers and customers of this drama will be punished for their crimes”. Meanwhile, the current government shows no desire to hold fair and transparent investigation. The Deputy is sure that the investigation of the tragedy and the truth about what happened need not so much dead how much, alive. “A tragedy like “the Odessa Khatyn” should no longer be repeated in Ukraine. And the main key to this is the rule of law and punishment guilty”, – said the Deputy.
