The President of France, Emmanuel macron said that together with three other leaders of the “Normandy four” – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel – will consider the possibility of meeting in the “Normandy format” in a few weeks.

According to the Kremlin website that him and Putin hold talks in Bormes-Les-Mimosas, in the South of France.

Before beginning the French President said at a meeting with Putin to discuss the situation in Ukraine and “that the choice that was made by the President Zelensky recently about the position that he occupied in the last time.”

“I know that President Putin talked to him several times over the last few days. So we will be able to talk about it, to prepare future meetings and together with Mr. Zelensky, Vladimir Putin and Mrs Merkel and I will try to consider the possibility of convening a “Normandy format” in a few weeks,” said macron.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he will inform the French leader Emmanuel Macron about his conversation with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, because there are things that are of “cautious optimism”.
