Special envoy of the US state Department believes that Russia is trying to promote his candidacy for the post of the Ukrainian President

Russia is trying to remove from the presidency the current President, Petro Poroshenko. This was announced by the special envoy of the US state Department in Ukraine Kurt Volker, reports MSN.

According to him, Moscow is making every effort to resolve Poroshenko from power in Ukraine. Walker also stressed that the Russian government is trying to “weaken Poroshenko”.

“What they’re trying to do is to attack Poroshenko and weaken Poroshenko,” said Volcker, responding to a question about whether Moscow supports a particular candidate in the presidential election on March 31.

Walker also believes that the Kremlin hopes for “world” with the new President of Ukraine.
