The International Olympic Committee confirmed that during the opening ceremony of the winter Olympics February 9 was a cyber attack on television and Internet resources. About this reports Deutsche Welle.

The IOC refused to disclose information, who is responsible for the cyber attack.

“Maintaining safe operations is our goal”, – said the speaker of the IOC mark Adams. He added that to comment on the issue that did it, will not.

Adams assured that now the IOC is safe.

Earlier, the organizers of the Olympic winter games in Pyeongchang are investigating the circumstances surrounding a cyberattack on the website and the wi-fi system. Out of order TV in the press center, and the site had to shut down for a few hours.

System restore took almost 15 hours, but the attack did not affect either the opening ceremonies or the competitions.
