KIEV. July 23. UNN. Director General of the Department of foreign intelligence of Estonia Mikk Marran said the disclosure of the Russian “agents of influence”. He said this at a security forum in aspen U.S., reports UNN with reference to Delfi news portal.
“We established consisting of politicians, journalists, diplomats, businessmen network, which actually includes agents of influence of Russia”, — he said, noting that all of these people, according to him, they say, what they should do. After hearing these instructions, they are confident in the Estonian intelligence, “impose the Russian plan of action”. What exactly he is Marran said, stressing however that, despite this successful summit of presidents of Russia and USA Vladimir Putin and Donald trump and “mean good relations,” the threat from Moscow is still not over.
The Kremlin, according to Marran, on the contrary has become in recent years to increase the role of agents of influence and more to use them for their own purposes. Among them, as pointed out by the head of the Estonian foreign intelligence, politicians who worked for years at the level of local governments, and now were held in national parliaments and governments. In what countries these people work Marran said.
For the work of the Russian government, according to him, offered them “media attention, political support, exclusive business opportunity and, in a few cases, financial assistance.” The names of these people the Director General of the Estonian foreign intelligence Department did not call, and not told the rest of the details, known to intelligence services of Estonia.
