The former Governor of Kharkov region Dobkin was arrested for land fraud

The Pechersky district court of Kiev chose a measure of restraint to the former Governor of Kharkiv region, Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Mikhail Dobkin, who is accused of frauds with the earth. He pointed out that to pay the Deposit he would need to sell a house where children live: “I don’t see the point, for me, it’s demeaning to pay a Deposit for their freedom.”
The Prosecutor’s office asked the court to arrest Dobkin and assign the amount of the Deposit in the amount of not less than 150 million hryvnia (about 345 million rubles.).

Dobkin has headed Kharkiv region from March 2010 to March 2014. Previously, he worked as a mayor of Kharkiv. In 2007, he became famous clip on YouTube, which was shown the process of recording electoral roll: Dobkin and Kernes had a discussion with an abundance of profanity.
