Deputy Director of the Center for political conjuncture, Oleg Ignatov commented on reports that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has decided to visit Moscow in may to participate in celebrations in honor of the 75th anniversary of victory in the great Patriotic war.

“The Shinzo Abe a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin for many years,” the expert said in an interview with radio Sputnik.
As noted Ignatov, despite all the differences between Russia and Japan, personal relationships of Japanese Prime Minister and Russian leader has always been very good. According to the expert, Abe’s decision to come to the celebration on May 9 can be directly connected with it.
“I think that the negotiations between Japan and Russia at the highest level will continue in Moscow, and also relates to this activity of the Japanese Prime Minister,” — said Ignatov.
Earlier, the press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is waiting for Abe to festive events on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory.
