The return of the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas to Ukraine gradually.

This was stated by the Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, reports the press service of the interior Ministry.

“De-occupation and reintegration of Donbass should take place according to the principle of “small steps”. Each step must prove to our citizens of Ukraine who live in Donbas that Ukraine for them is better than with the occupation regime: the quality of life, access to utilities, education, pension services, social security, access to the Ukrainian biometric passports, which allow you to move freely around Europe, access to civil rights, reconstruction of roads, bridges, communication systems, education, etc.” – said the Minister.

According to Avakov, this tactic will allow for a 5-7, maybe 10 years to go the path of rehabilitation.

We will remind, on February 20, President Petro Poroshenko signed the law “On peculiarities of state policy and ensuring state sovereignty of Ukraine on the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions”.

The document provides for reformatting of the ATO, and identifies Russia as the aggressor. Poroshenko also said that pending approval from the Minister of defence and chief of General staff of VSU on an agreed candidate to the post of commander of the United forces.
