The criminal group illegally deprived of freedom and tortured for 200 addicts

KIEV. March 30. UNN. The illegal activities of organized criminal groups, acting under the guise of the centre for rehabilitation of drug addicts and specialized in illegal deprivation of liberty, was stopped by law enforcement. About it UNN reported in a press-service SBU.

The organizers of the “business” took orders for forced “treatment” in the so-called rehabilitation center people who, in the opinion of their relatives or friends suffered from drug, alcohol or other addiction.

Members of the group went to the “ordered” and under psychological pressure forced them to go for “treatment”. In case of failure victims, they are still brought to a rehabilitation center, but by force.

“Rehabilitation” contained in a specially equipped barracks and cellars, they were tortured. Deprived of their liberty could not leave the place of stay, they are constantly watched by the “guards” of the center. They are also not disposed of and forced to work in timber production, agricultural and construction work in favor of the owners of the “rehabilitation center”.

In a special operation, the SBU has released more than 200 illegally detained “rehabilitants”, which already confirmed the facts of torture and causing them grievous bodily harm. Also arrested 22 observers, including three people who performed managerial functions.

During the authorized search militiamen found the instruments of torture, and in the office of the founder of the “center” – fighting grenade RGD-5 and traumatic weapon.

Open criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 127 (torture) and part 3 of article 146 (illegal imprisonment or kidnapping) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
