As the correspondent of the UNIAN reports, on the coast of Odessa, near the public beach “Dolphin” has just completed a rescue operation of the crew of the tanker – three citizens of Ukraine.

The work of rescue was much hampered by the wind and high waves. As a result, the divers managed alternately bringing ashore three sailors — the captain, chief engineer and sailor.

The evacuation was carried out by means of a cable in the water.

As told journalists the head of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Kuts, the rescue operation is completed, the three seamen – citizens of Ukraine. They will provide appropriate medical care.




During the evacuation all three were conscious, according to preliminary data, in the most serious condition the captain – he is more than two hours spent on the bridge in the water.

According to the specified head yeah, “Delphi” was in territorial waters of Ukraine in may of this year; the ship ran out of fuel.

According to the official, the tanker must be under the flag of Moldova, but, as noted Scanty, this information was not confirmed.

“This is a “grey” ship. Its owner for a contact does not go”, – said the Chairman of the regional administration, adding that it was unable to verify the evacuation was forced or voluntary.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in the Black sea near Odessa suffered a disaster of the tanker “Delphi” with three Ukrainians on Board who refused to leave the ship. The tanker had issued a distress signal in the evening of 20 November, when he was in the surveillance zone of the sea port “Pivdennyi” (Odessa region). The ship without fuel, de-energized, the engine is not running.

Later it was demolished by the wind to the Dolphin beach in Odessa. According to the state enterprise “Administration seaports of Ukraine”, the tanker is the bunkering barge (the owner is a company which was in Birmingham) has no load.

As noted in the Odessa regional state administration, the so-called “grey” the ship, without registration. Rescue ships could not approach the tanker due to the difficult weather conditions.

It was later reported that the crew can be evacuated by force.
