The court seized part of the ports of the Crimea the ship Sky Moon
Uncategorized March 17, 2017Malinovsky district court of Odessa adopted the decision to confiscate Tanzanian ship Sky Moon, which, repeatedly violating the customs rules of Ukraine, entered the ports occupied Crimea. About it reports a press-service of military Prosecutor’s office of the southern region.
The court found the captain guilty of illegal movement from the Crimea more than 3 thousand tons of technical soda ash in the amount of about 18.5 million UAH and decided to confiscate it in the state. Also, the court decided on the confiscation of the vessel Sky Moon that was used to commit the offense.
The prosecutors said that this is the most commercial batch in the history of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, which were confiscated. Also for the first time in the history of Ukraine, the court decided on the confiscation of a vessel.
The Ministry added that criminal liability already borrowed and will appear before the court, the ship’s captain, and one of the founders of the company-cargo owner – the citizen of Moldova. The issue of accountability of the representative of the shipowner is a citizen of Romania, who organized the transportation.
The Prosecutor’s office sent to court indictment against the Tanzanian captain of the ship Sky Moon on 21 February.
On 30 November last year the staff of state frontier service in the Ukrainian internal waters in the Danube was detained together with crew of the cargo ship Sky Moon. According to the gpsu, the captain of the ship tried to simulate damage to the machine, however, the ship was detained and taken to the port of Reni.
