KIEV. 27 Feb. UNN. The Solomensky district court of Kiev rejected the prosecutors of the Specialised anti-corruption prosecutors in the petition to dismiss 2 months Gennady Trukhanov from performing the duties of the mayor of Odessa. “The court ruled: the motion is the head detective of SAP Nebezial about the dismissal of Trukhanov Gennady Leonidovich leave unsatisfied. The decision may be appealed within 5 days to the court of Appeal of Kiev. Full text of the decision will be announced on 3 March at 17.00”, – stated in the operative part of the court orders.
As reported UNN, SAP filed a petition in the Solomensky regional court of Kiev about the dismissal of the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov. The court postponed the hearing on the suspension Trukhanova on February 27.
February 14 at the airport “Borispol” detained the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov and his Deputy. A day earlier, the NAB reported about suspicion to the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov and 6 officials of the city Council of embezzlement of funds of the city budget, and detained three people.
15 Feb Solomensky district court of Kiev refused to SAP and NAB the petition on the application of arrest to the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov. The court dismissed the mayor on bail of MP Dmitry Golubov.
Vice-mayor of Odessa Paul Vogelman also released under the personal guarantee of the people’s Deputy. In SAP appealed the measure of restraint Trukhanov and his Deputy. On 26 February the court of Appeal of Kiev refused to change Trukhanov preventive measure and upheld the decision of the court of first instance.
