The coup in Zimbabwe: President Mugabe under house arrest

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe is under house arrest. Talked to him South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma, reports Deutsche Welle.

Zuma, who also heads the development Community of southern Africa, called for “calm and restraint”.

On the eve of the military seized the state television in Zimbabwe and to appeal to the citizens said that control of the situation in the country. They said that targeting offenders surrounded by a 93-year-old President and leader of the ruling party of Robert Mugabe, but Mugabe himself and his family safe.
