The Council agreed on a new name for the Moscow bridge

The Commission kiyevsovet concerning culture, tourism and information policy agreed on several new titles for Metropolitan sites, which are still reminiscent of the Soviet occupation of Ukraine. About it reports a press-service of the city Council.

It is proposed to rename:

The Moscow bridge, Obolon district of Kyiv – in North bridge;

– Anri barbyusa street in Pechersk district – in the street Vasily Tyutyunnik;

– lane Panfilov also on Pechersk – in the alley of job Boretsky.

In addition, the Commission proposes to call “Troinoi” unnamed area bounded by streets zhilyans’ka, Velyka Vasylkivska and Physical education.

Also ordered the names of some of the green areas of the capital. The city authorities want:

– to rename the Park of Nations ‘ Friendship Park “Muromets”;

– to call the name of Dimitri Peshev square between the streets Zhilyanskaya street and Tarasovskaya;

– to assign to Park on the street Sich Riflemen, 27 the name “Canadian”;

– to rename the square of Andrei Ivanov, between the street of Mikhail Emelyanovich-Pavlenko and Boticheli alley in square “Latvian”;

– clarify the name “Park Obolon in the tract Natalka” – give it the name “Park Natalka”.

Coordinated the return of Komsomol area in the capital of the historical name “North-Brovary”, and the district Chapaevka – the historical name “Vita-Litovsk.”
