In the case of the arrest of a collection of paintings of the fifth President of Ukraine, people’s Deputy from “European solidarity” Petro Poroshenko set point: the court ruled in favour of the former guarantor of the Constitution.

The court of appeal of Kyiv has taken note of the arguments of the lawyer of the former President Igor Golovan regarding paintings: defender noted that Poroshenko not going to sell paintings, and even more, give them to anyone.

Considering the arguments of counsel, the court decided that the actions of the investigators of the RRG at the Museum named Potter was unreasonable and went beyond the law, but because the arrest of the paintings, it was decided to remove.

Recall, may 26, SWAT State Bureau of investigation stormed the Ivan Honchar Museum in Kiev, where an exhibition of paintings from the private collection of Peter and Marina Poroshenko. The investigator GBR demanded from the Director of the Museum to open the room where there are paintings.

Two days later, investigators RRT went to the Museum named after Ivan Gonchar with the sanction of the court for the seizure of property, including paintings from the collection of Poroshenko.

A few days later the Pechersk district court of Kyiv upheld the decision on a compulsory drive of Petro Poroshenko on interrogation in the state Bureau of investigation in the case of the collection of paintings.

The ex-President still came in for questioning, and his supporters were placed in front RRT of paintings by world famous artists, which depicted Vladimir Zelensky, Irina Venediktova, Arsen Avakov, Ruslan riaboshapka, Igor Kolomoysky, as well as special forces RRT.
