Kharkov regional territorial office of Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine recognized economically unreasonable increase in the cost of travel in the metro of Kharkov from 5 to 8 UAH per trip.

“During the inspection economic justification of establishing a new fare territorial office of the AMC pre-installed, included in the costing expenses not related to the provision of services on transportation of passengers, contrary to the Order of formation of tariffs for services of urban electrical transportation (underground), approved by the Ministry of transport and communication of Ukraine from March 5, 2007”, – is spoken in the message.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on 6 February, the Executive Committee of the Kharkov city Council decided to increase from 7 February, the cost of travel in the metro for UAH 3 to UAH 8 per ride in trams and trolleybuses – 2 hryvnia up to 6 hryvnia.

After that, the Kharkov regional territorial office of the Antimonopoly Committee started reviewing the economic justification for fare increase in the metro.

February 19, Kharkiv district administrative court suspended the decision of the city Council on increase of tariffs.

On 20 February the Prosecutor’s office started criminal proceedings on the fact of non-court decisions of the Kharkiv city Council to reduce the cost of travel in electric vehicles.
