Most drones-multicopters have an approximately 30-minute flight resource, then they need 1-2 hours to charge the batteries. Israeli company StoreDot thanks to its technology FlashBattery promises to cut the time down to five minutes.
The composition of the battery FlashBattery includes chemically synthesized nanoteck that form the basis of a multipurpose electrode that fast charging like super capacitor and slowly discharged, such as lithium-ion battery.
Used chemical compound are non – combustible and has a higher ignition point than graphite. This reduces the resistance of the battery. Plus, necessary for battery of bio-organic raw materials – environmentally friendly, inexpensive, and its natural resources is very high.
In StoreDot announced that a smaller version of the system was connected to an offline charging stations for drones that use battery company. In such a configuration to fully charge the battery had five minutes – however, the density of stored energy is less than that of a lithium ion battery.
