The Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff (JCS) US armed forces, General Joseph Dunford the commander of the armed forces of Thailand General Ternan Srisuwan discussed prospects of bilateral military cooperation. This was announced on Monday the official representative of the press service joint chiefs of staff, Colonel Patrick Ryder, informs UNN.

“General Dunford thanked the General Srisuwan for his longstanding support of the military Alliance between the two countries. They discussed opportunities for strengthening of the Alliance, as well as other issues of mutual interest”, — stated in the message.

“The United States, a longstanding friend and ally of Thailand, is committed to supporting its leading role in promoting regional security and prosperity in South-East Asia, ASEAN and the Asia-Pacific region”, — emphasizes a press-service.
