KIEV. June 11. UNN. 14-year-old Spanish rider Andres Perez fell to his death during the second stage of Moto3, which was held in Barcelona, reports UNN citing the website of Motosport.

Perez was one of several athletes involved in an accident on the sixth turn. The Spaniard was given first aid at the crash site, after which he was transported to the hospital. Although the doctors diagnosed brain death, they continued to fight for his life, because the heart was still beating. However, 14-year-old boy failed to save.

Perez debuted in the Spanish Moto3 series last year and took part in two stages of the season in Jerez and in Valencia. This year he signed a full agreement with the team “Avintia MotoGP”, which fought in the Spanish Moto3 championship, but missed the start of the season due to injury. Then he played the next four races this year. Before the incident in the second race at Barcelona, his best result was 24th place.

It is noteworthy that this is the third fatal accident on the track of Catalunya for three years. In 2016 in the accident died Moto2 rider Luis Salom last year during the endurance race “24 hours of Catalonia” killed Eric Sauri.

As reported UNN,the 19-year-old representative of Ukraine had an accident and suffered injuries within the race in Italy.
