RRT is investigating possible evidence of torture in Berdyansk colony
KIEV. March 11. UNN. Investigators Melitopol territorial administration of GBR to investigate the facts contained in the statements of the representatives of the NGO “Alliance of Ukrainian Unity” about the possible torture of prisoners by the staff of the Berdyansk penal colony No. 77. It is reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the GBR.
“February 26, 2019 investigators RRG began pre-judicial investigation on signs of the criminal offenses provided by part 2 of article 127 (torture by a group of persons), part 2, 365 (abuse of power or office powers employee of law enforcement body), CH. 2 364 (abuse of power or official position), part 2 189 (extortion, perfect repeatedly, or on preliminary arrangement by group of persons or by an official using his official position) the Criminal code of Ukraine”, – stated in the message.
According to the report, investigators inspected the RRG message of the applicants in respect of particular persons detained in the penitentiary institution. Thus, in the interests of the investigation obtained information is not subject to disclosure.
Add, recently publicized in the media got the situation when in the colony, was allegedly raped by a member of the ATO.
Earlier UNN reported that the RRT was detained by border guards for extortion of bribes from colleagues for silence.
