The test was started by the Kiev police Department of Odessa due to the fact that the well-known social worker, inspector of the patrol police Zoe Miller said in Facebook that the center socially-psychological rehabilitation of children, located in the street of the heroes of Kruty, in which young children from different social categories, has become a “prison for children who are innocent, but their rights and freedoms are grossly violated and limited to those who have to protect them”.

According to Miller, instead of 9 months, the children “pass psychological rehabilitation” over the years, the administration introduced quarantines to restrict the meeting of children with their families and relatives. In addition, children are not permitted to use cell phones (phones are taken immediately on receipt), children are humiliated and “just searching”.

“And the toilet and the shower in this “Paradise for children” one day, when checking found a surveillance camera. Teenage girls who knew about it, turn off the lights to wash or go to toilet. Or one washed and the other was closed with a towel the camera. To whom and for what purpose came up with the idea to hang the camera, I do not know,” wrote social worker.

Also in the center on Sundays, supposedly works forced Sunday school and the summer of 2018 children flee EN masse from the centre.

“Run because of the conditions of stay there. Children have repeatedly complained about ill-treatment,” said Miller.

Commenting on this statement, head of Department of prevention of juvenile of the Main Department of Ukraine in Odessa region assured that the centre has a procedure for communication of students with relatives who agreed with the service for children.

He confirmed that the institution is limited to the use of means of communication, but, according to preliminary data, supposedly only during the learning process.

“The center also has installed surveillance cameras, which are currently not working. They are fitted with a preventive purpose to prevent abuse between children or on the part of teachers and other negative phenomena. On the location of the cameras the kids aware,” said Capulet, adding that in the shower the camera is not detected.

According to him, the test continues.
