President Petro Poroshenko signed adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on March 23, 2017, the law on the Ukrainian cultural Fund. This was reported on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

This law defines legal, organizational, financial principles of activity of the Ukrainian cultural Fund, the purpose of which is to promote the development of culture and arts of Ukraine, ensure favorable conditions for the development of intellectual and spiritual potential of the individual and society, broad access of citizens to national cultural heritage, support cultural diversity and integration of Ukrainian culture into the global cultural space.

By law, the Ukrainian cultural Fund is a budgetary institution that performs under this law, the special function regarding the promotion of national-cultural development of Ukraine. The activities of the Ukrainian cultural Fund and sent koordiniruyutsya Central Executive body which provides forming and implements the state policy in the spheres of culture and arts.

The management bodies of the Ukrainian cultural Fund are the Supervisory Board and the management. The Fund is headed by the Chairman of the Ukrainian cultural Fund, which operates on a voluntary basis. Chairman of the Foundation may be appointed person who is a specialist in the field of culture, has an excellent reputation, high public standing and fluent in the national language, speak foreign language, which is one of the official languages of the Council of Europe.
